About Gateway Kitchen And Bath

The parent company, Gateway Acoustics and Interiors Inc, was started in 1969 by Joseph V. Scarfino. His five Son’s Rick, Terry, James, Ron, and Joe joined him in the 1970’s after they all completed Union Carpenter Local #47 Construction Training school. Under Joseph’s directions, Gateway has built new homes, remodeled Kitchens and Baths, and worked on large commercial Construction Projects. Projects include the St. Louis Football Ram’s training facility, Edward Jones Des Peres 10 Story Office Building, Schools, Restaurants, Hospitals, Car Dealers, Multiple Schnucks & Dierbergs Stores and Hundreds more Shopping Centers! Gateway has built a Solid Reputation in the Construction Industry over the last 50 years for doing Quality Work, with a Professionally Trained Staff of employees to complete your project on time and on budget!

 

Rick Scarfino directs the Commercial Division. They also did all the new acoustical ceilings at the Clayco Construction “Highlands” Office Building at the old Arena site.

James Scarfino CKD, manages the Kitchen and Bath Division. He combines his 20 years as a Union Carpenter with his 30 years experience as a Kitchen and Bath Designer to give clients the Professional Service required to complete their Project. James has also completed the rigorous requirements of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) to join the elite ranks of one of about only 25 Certified Kitchen Designers (CKD’s) in the St. Louis area.

 

In 1989 Our family bought vacant land between Office Depot and Manchester Baseball Fields. We General Contracted and Built a 25,000 square foot Office Building called “Gateway Center” on Old Sulphur Springs Rd that currently is owned by James and his Brothers.

Founder Joseph V. Scarfino quietly passed away in 2018.
